About PLMHA

The Perth Lanark Minor Hockey Association offers organized minor hockey to about 340 players ranging from ages 4 to 20 in the Town of Perth, Village of Lanark and their surrounding areas.

A volunteer Executive Committee manages the association’s affairs.  Executive members are elected each year by the membership at the annual general meeting.  All Executive positions are 2-year terms.  The Executive members meet monthly throughout the year.

Our association functions through participation from the parents themselves.  The teams are supported by many volunteer parents and individuals that become coaches, assistants, trainers, managers, and timekeepers each year.

With “home” ice in the Perth and Lanark arenas, we average 18-20 teams each hockey season.  Our Competive (Rep) teams play in the Ottawa B Minor Hockey League (OBMHL) while our house teams play in the Lanark-Carleton Minor Hockey League (LCMHL).

We are affiliated to Ottawa Valley Silver Seven at the A & AA levels and the Ottawa Valley Titans at the AA & AAA level.  Our players try out for these teams along with players from other associations.

The objectives of the Perth Lanark Minor Hockey Association are to promote, govern and improve organized amateur hockey in the Perth & Lanark area:

  • to foster among its members, supporters and teams a general community spirit;
  • to maintain and increase the interest in the game of hockey; and
  • to have and exercise a general care, supervision and direction over the playing interest of its teams, players and coaches.

We are a division of Hockey Eastern Ontario (HEO) by authority of Hockey Canada.
