U11B Battle of the Biscuit Tournament

Notes:

-Semi-Finals - Feb 15th - Schedule TBC pending results of the tournament. 

-Games may start up to 15 minutes before each scheduled start time. Teams must be ready to go on the ice 15
minutes before each scheduled game.

-Teams are asked to bring two sets of sweaters, one dark and one light. The home team, as designated on the
schedule, shall wear the light colour. In the event of a conflict with colours, the designated home team shall be
responsible for changing sweaters for the game.

Shoot-Out Skills Competition


1. A Shoot-out Skills Competition will immediately follow the conclusion of each round robin game. Teams will
compete for the title of Battle of the Biscuit Shoot-Out Champions and Goalie Shoot-out Best Save Percentage.
*repeat players CANNOT occur until after ALL active skaters have had one shot attempt each in the
tournament. First and second prizes will be awarded in each division for each award.
2. Teams MUST select shooters in advance of the game.
3. If a player is ejected from play during the game, then the team forfeits that shooter during the shoot-out for
that game.
4. If all skaters have had one shot then a repeat player will be permitted in your final game, however no player may
shoot more than twice. Any team that does not follow this rule will be automatically eliminated from
contention.
5. 5 SHOOTERS PER TEAM PER GAME with both teams shooting at the same time.
6. POINTS:
• 1 point is awarded for every goal scored
• 3 bonus points are awarded to a team who wins the shootout
• 1 bonus point awarded to a team who ties a shootout
• 0 bonus points awarded to a team who loses a shootout
7. Team with the most points per division will be named Shoot-out Skills Competition Champion. If there is a tie
in points, we implement the following tie breaking rules:
a. team with the most shootout bonus points *combined wins (3 points) plus ties (1 point)
b. team with the most shootout wins
c. team with the lowest number of shootout goals allowed
d. team with the most shootout goals scored
e. team with most regulation wins
f. team with the regulation highest total goals scored, less total goals allowed
g. coin flip at registration desk performed by a member the Tournament Committee
8. In the event of an unforeseen incident which causes a shoot-out to be cancelled by the Tournament Committee
(prolonged delay, emergency, etc.) each team will be awarded 2 Bonus Shoot-out Points (Win + Tie / 2) plus
given credit for their team scoring on HALF of their shoot-out attempts (e.g., 2.5)
