Perth/Lanark Atom B1 Wins Eganville Tournament

We are excited to let everyone know that the  PERTH Atom B1 team won the A Championship title in Eganville on Sunday January 19th!!!


The Perth Atom B1 brought home a tournament championship from Eganville on Sunday January 19th.

The tournament was an 8 team Atom B tournament. Their first opponent of the day was Westmeath. The team played hard every shift to come out with a 6-2 victory moving them into the A side of the tournament.

Their second game was a close one playing against Barry's Bay. The team stayed consistent working hard. With only 1:10 remaining in the third period the Perth's team scored giving them a 2-1 lead. The remainder of the game was fought hard by Barry's Bay with the extra attacker but Perth battled hard at the blue line. The victory moved them to the A final against Renfrew.

Missing from the bench was Andrew Fournier but not missing in the thoughts of his teammates. When in the change room, the team rallied and cheered "Let's win it for Fern"!
Once the excitement of the final game jitters settled after the first 5 minutes, Perth dominated the game. By the end of the second period Perth was leading 2-0. Renfrew fought hard in the 3rd getting a goal, tighten the gap on the championship title. Perth secured the victory with a late goal in the third period for a final score of 3-1!!
